Show Jean Chamberlin Adele Hodgson An ever popular song proclaims that "A pretty girl is like a melody." Around the campus at Weber one's imagination can hear the music of the world. Some girls possess the fragile lingering charm of a Strauss waltz. Others bring to mind the power and everlasting richness of the old masters. A haunting melody, rich with suggestion of warm days, fragrant flowers, and bright nights, surrounds some brunettes. Vivacious blonds suggest the undertone and engaging rhythm of boogey woogey to the ears of a modern dance band fan. The stiff precision of a military march fills the walk of an efficient business girl. Weber has always had a reputation in the music world. Gladys Barker Pat Meissner Ardis Jeppsen Weber reputation Many would not even admit the possibility of America ever again being involved in a war of international scope, but long before the soldiers who returned from the first war had grown old, Americans found themselves attacked, and at war on every side. Each Weber fellow asked himself this question, "Shall I remain in school to attain my goal, or shall I battle for democracy on the battlefield rather than in the classroom?" The peace won by valiant American armies and upheld by the professional men of tomorrow alone will testify to the wisdom of the choice made by each Weber man. Larry Garr Jack Dalton Bob Butler |
