Show Professors of the Weber College staff do not expect too much trouble with classroom discipline. College students are "ladies and gentlemen." There is no more staying after school for whispering during recitations, no writing one hundred times, "I am a bad boy to throw spit balls." Teacher doesn't have to attend to lost handkerchiefs and torn skirts. No campus playground problem darkens "recess." One relic of grade school days persists-gum chewing. What has Dietrich that Weber hasn't? Much of the admiinstration of important affairs of the college is accomplished by the Board of Control - a body composed of both students and faculty members. The cooperation existing within the board provides the college with an unsurpassed governing body. Individuals themselves find evidence of this cooperation when it becomes necessary to ask the indulgence of faculty members. Assignments sometimes appear tough until students remember that teachers once were plodding the path of learning. Top row: Charles Espy, English; Enid Gibby, Power Machines; Leone Grandy, Assistant Registrar; Ralph Gray, Chemistry. Second row: Beula Griffin, Office; Wilma Grose, Librarian; LeRoy Haines, Motorized Equipment; Clarisse Hall, Dean of Women and Registrar. |
