Show DANCE COMMITTEE A person not familiar with college activities would say that once during the school year all club members appear to go crazy. The reason is that at this time club members devote days to the hanging of bits of crepe paper and such. Governing body of all this activity is the enthusiastic Dance Committee. Front row: Shirley Baker, Catherine Wooley, Leon Wood, Cordelia Niland, Verla Bingham. Back row: Kent Payne, Raymond Sander. MATINEE DANCE COMMITTEE Providing in-between-class snacks of dancing was the task of this committee-and it was ably performed. Despite infrequent breakdowns of the recording machine, socially-minded students usually adjourned to the ballroom at weekly noon periods. Front row: Marvel Murphy, LaVon Earl, Amy Jean Wood. Back row: Dee Linford, Pete Petrie. W. A. A. COUNCIL The W. A. A. Council subscribes to the theory that no coed's college life or education is complete unless that girl has spent a large number of hours in the gym. Complicated intramural schedules, along with various outings throughout the year, do much in fulfilling this aim. Front row: Marian Bader, Ruth Madsen, Avis Wood, Medalou Winters. Second row: Madge Olsen, Chloe Yates, president; Caroline Hobson, Miss Welling, Virginia Nelson, vice-president; Marjorie Andelin. COUNCIL Filled with guidance of Associated Women's affairs, and planning for social gatherings, the activities of the A. W. S. Council are of much value and interest. Their most beneficial activity is in accomplishing the union of unaffiliated and affiliated coeds. A. M.S. COUNCIL Acquiring practice from the functionings of this group, many an expert hunter, fisherman, and marksman has appeared on the campus of Weber College. Acting as "Ring Leaders," the committee members plan various activities for all men of the college. If nothing else is accomplished, all are fed to their capacity. RADIO GUILD Some of Weber's best advertisement has been due to the accomplishments of the Radio Guild -the program presented each Thursday evening. The largest portion of the audience was undoubtedly composed of proud papas and mamas of the performers, who, despite their pale faces and trembling voices, turned in excellent programs. Front Row: Ralph Larson, Mary Lou Foutz, president. Back Row: Viva May Gammell, Mr. West, Artemis Vetas, Roy Gibbson. Marjorie Vowles, Caroline Hobson, Faye Stokes, LaRene Jensen, Carl White. |
