Show | e4 4, . ANITAS CHRISTMAS COOKIES Cream | cup butter together with 3% cup sugar. Add 2 egg yolks and beat well. Then add | cup ground walnut meats and 13% cups cake flour. Chil until easy to handle. Form into small balls and place on greased cookie sheets. Now make a topping~by beating 2 egg whites and | tbsp. sugar to make a rluffy meringue. Put a dab on top of each cookie. Top with a piece of candied cherry. Bake in moderate oven, 400°F, for about 15 minutes. KRQMMERHUSE. (DANISH CONE COOKIES) | Beat 3 egg whites until stiff, and sprinkle over them 44 cup sugar, alittle ata time — and mix carefully. Fold in’ cup sifted cake flour the same way. Then fold in 4 cup butter melted and cooled, a pinch of salt and | tsp. vanilla. Drop batter by teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on a buttered and floured baking sheet. Bake in hot oven, 375, for 10 minutes or until little circles are lightly browned. While still warm form them quickly into cones, overlapping generously. If they become too brittle to form, put them in oven for a minute or so, to soften.
