MANY EAGER TO BEGIN STUDIES Oct 1926 The largest initial registration in Ogden's night school took place Mon­day night at the senior high school whenmore than 200 persons entered, reports Principal Francis T. Wiggins. There were also a goodly number of students who registered for the "Utah Agricultural college and University of Utah extension classes. "While there were only 200 stu­dents who actually registered," Prin­ cipal Wiggins said, "we estimate that all of 400 students were present. We anticipate a large registration on the coming Thursday and Monday nights, when the registration will be con­cluded." Classes are to begin next Thursday night. Of the 200 students who reg­istered Monday night, about 50 are aliens in the Americanization depart­ment. In addition to the regular com­mercial courses which have been of­fered in previous years, attention has been called to the fact that courses in American history, civics, chemistry, algebra and geometry are being given. B. A. Fowler, superintendent of the county schools, announced that his class in school organization and ad­ministration, an extension course, will be given. More than the mini­mum number of students required have already registered, he said. It has not been definitely deter­mined whether Professor Calvin Fletcher's teacher course in art will be given. There were not 10 students who registered for the course Mon­day night but indications are to the effect that there are others who de­sire to enroll. It is probable that a course in ac­counting will be given by Professor P. E. Peterson of the Utah Agricul­tural college. Classes in social psychology, eco­nomics and geology have not as yet 10 students registered for them, but the officials feel that there is a prob­ability of there being more registering, filling the minimum quota. Superintendent Fowler's class starts at 6:30 o'clock Thursday evening.
