Description	This collection contains 74 diaries of Dr. Edward Rich and his wife Almira. They begin in 1892 and run through 1965. The bulk of this collection centers on Almira's diaries that run from 1897-1947. During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins.

A very great traveled man who spent most of 1945 in the Pacific Theater of War. Interviewed many of the great Gens. Have a cold coming on but have taken Copevin & it works wonders. Sold the last B.B.L.P. to KLO today. Am very glad the job is done 2,020 sold Saturday, February 9 Have some cold. Dr Junior had lunch with us. It is a joy to have him Finished copying Ruth Richs biography & am returning the original to her. It is very good, am proud of her. I recd acknowledgement certificate from American Red Cross for the work I did during the War. Something I had not expected. Am glad to have Pres. Trumans signature as well as Pres. Wodrow Wilsons Sunday, February 10 Dr and Dr Junior Rich operated this morning. Dr & I attended S.S. he gave a good lesson on Hyrum Smith the prophets brother. His birthday was yesterday were he living he would be 146 years old. We had dinner at Cleones home her daughter (Cleone) showed us a beautiful diamond ring she had accepted from Yeats. We regret he is not an L.D.S. member. Dr & I called on Dr Frank Baker who seems little improved. He has been an invilad for many years. Monday, February 11 If I can stop one heart from breaking. I shall not have lived in vain. (Cloteels Birthday) Have spent today at home was invited to Legisative Group Anual party as I was one of the Charter members representing the Medical Aux of Weber Co. but for just one yr. Did some practicing on type machine as I seldom find time to do this and one must keep in practice or long hand is apt to take its place. The World today is so full of things to do
