During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Saturday, November 23 John L. Lewis at head of Nations coal Strike in prison after a few days things look Serious as there is little on hand and the storm has been general throout the West. Provo is threatened with closing schools etc as gas for heating is made from coal. Lewis is a very unreasonable man & stirs up first one strik & then another. Let us hope he dosent win out this time. It has rained all day & snow is going off fast. Junior R. is home with a cold. Sunday, November 24 Dr & I attend Sunday School. A large attendance. Good lesson on Church Welfare Plan. Dinner at Cleones. Myrelle home from University. We call on Mrs. Chris Flygare & Dr Frank Bakes. Spent rest of the day home. Listened to radio programme from S.L. Tabernacle. Speaker Dr Spery of B.Y.W. Retire late Myrene & her children came in for awhile. Dr Junior not well Monday, November 25 Recd a letter from Cloteel Rich in Vienna Austria. All fine but terriable suffering among the people. Very cold coal scarce & not too much food & clothing. She is helping at Red Cross. Thair busy. Richard & Ruth like it there. Today has been sunny & warm I have written a long letter to Thair & family, did some extra cooking and little else. Cleone R Eccles came in. Junior is not well has been home the last few days.
