Show NEW QUARTER OPENS TONIGHT Adults' Night Classes Held In Ogden High School Second quarter of night classes for adults in the Ogden city schools begins tonight in the Ogden High school, reports Francis T. Wiggins, principal, adding that it will close on April 5. High I school credit is being given in proportion to the attendance and the amount of work completed by the students. Mr. Wiggins expects a course in j practical artcraft used in the ' home will be one of the most pop- j ular this quarter. This course will take up stenciling and free hand painting on fabrics, enameling, decorating candles and dishes with wax and shellac, decorative stitches that may be combined with art, lamp shades and clay work on placards. This course begins tonight. Classes already listed and the teacher follow below. Other classes will be given if 10 or more students apply: Typewriting by Mrs. Franke, and Miss Daniels; bookkeeping by Mr. Abplanap; stenography by Miss Stephenson; office machines by Miss Evans; penmanship by Miss Light; commercial . law by Mr. Widdison; auto mechanics by Mr. Bergstrom; cabinet work, instructor to be chosen; mechanical drawing by Mr. Connell; domestic science, artcraft by Miss Pederson; dressmaking and millinery by Miss Smurthwaite and Mrs. Farnoff; teacher's methods in art by Miss Wilson; English grammar, teacher to be chosen; business English by Mrs. Merrill; algebra and geometry, teacher to be chosen; chemistry by Mr. Smith; oral expression by Miss Barlow; Spanish by Miss Garcia; civics by Mr. Wansgaard; business arithmetic, teacher to be chosen. New classes this semester are: civics, oral expression, commercial law, artcraft, beginning Spanish and business arithmetic. |
