Show OGDEN CITY PUBLIC SCHOOLS Part-Time School W. Karl Hopkins, Supt. F. T. Wiggins, Principal Sept 1924 Students will answer the following guestions 1. What is the most interesting work you ever did? How long? were you engaged at it? What did you accomplish? What is your present occupation? How long have you been engaged in it? Do you intend to learn the business and work up to a higher place in it? Can you suggest any ways by which your present work can be made more attractive? 2. How may positions have you had since you left school? Were you advised to enter any of them or did you make you decision alone? If you were advised, what relationship to you was the adviser? If you were not advised, what factors did you take into account in making your decision? 5. Do you consider it important to try several kinds of work before making a final decision as to what your life work will be? If so, how long would you like each trial to be? If so, in what locality and under what conditions would you like to work? Do you look upon work as a burden or as an interesting adventure? Give reasons. What two school studies did you like most? Why? What two studies did you dislike most? Why? Did these likes or dislikes have any bearing on the choice of your present work? Give reasons. Name in order, as you estimate their importance, the occupations you know most about. Are any of them more attractive to you than your present work? If so, indicate preference by marking after them your order of choice, as first, second, and third. Do you spend anytime outside of working hours fitting yourself for advancement or for the more difficult work? If so, What? 10 Name three pleasures which have the greatest attraction for you. Have you a bank account? 11. Do these pleasures use up all your leisure time? If not, what takes the remaining time? Do you exercise in the open? 12. Which brings the greatest pleasures and satisfaction to you, productive work or play? Why? 13 Has most of your life been spent in the country or int the city? What disadvantage or advantage does this experience give you? 14. What has your father as an occupation? How long has he followed it? His nationality? How many brothers and sisters have you? If brothers are at work what are their occupations? |
