physical education develops mind and body The main goal of the Physical Education Division was to develop the body and mind of Weber State students so that they might carry easily their everyday workload. This goal was accomplished through instruction in hygiene and systematic exercises. The Physical Education Division consisted of the departments of health education, physical education, intercollegiate athletics, and recreation education. There was a program for training majors and minors in those fields. The division, with school administrators, planned for a new fieldhouse.
