Bendell held a capacity audience at close attention during his lecture at Weber college Monday evening. Departing from the usual biographical dissertations on the great statesman and humanitarian, Bendell dug deeply into the sources and environment surrounding the man, refuted through evidence, the old belief that Lincolns parents were poverty stricken white trash and showed clearly his humanness and unwavering belief in his fellow man. Of practically the same stature as Lincoln, Bendell is highly favored by nature for presenting the impersonation. It isnt often, Weber college faculty members said, that such a crowd can be held spellbound for such a long time, and in tribute to Mr. Bendell, his presentation of such familiar material will stand out as remarkable in the memories of all those who heard him.
