Show 112 Portfolio and Public Reading Before or during the final semester English Creative Writing Majors are required 1. to submit a PORTFOLIO of finished work with an INTRODUCTION, 2. to participate in a PUBUC READING arranged by the department, and 3. be signed off by both an advisor and the department chair. OR B.A.) ^^^^M » Program Prerequisite: Not required. » Minor: Required. » Grade requirements: A 2.0 or better in all courses required for this major in addition to an overall GPA of 2.00 (C) or higher. » Credit Hours requirements: A total of 120 credit hours is required for graduation - a minimum of 39 of these must be valid English courses. A total of 40 upper division credit hours is required (courses numbered 3000 or above) - a minimum of 36 must be valid English courses. Advisement English majors are required to meet with a faculty advisor at least twice annually for course and program advisement. Admission Requirements Declare your program of study as the English department office, Social Science 314. There are no special admission or application requirements for this program. General Education English majors may elect either a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree as defined by this University catalog (see pages 36- 41).
