Music Education Teaching Major BACHELOR OF MUSIC EDUCATION (B.M.E.) » Program Prerequisites: Audition required for admission to program. Must meet the Teacher Education admission and certification requirements (see Teacher Education Department). » Minor: Not required. » Grade Requirements: A grade of "C" or better in courses required for this major (a grade of "C-" is not acceptable). Teaching majors must also achieve an overall GPA of 3.00 for admission to the Teacher Education program. » Credit Hour Requirements: A total of 120 credit hours is required for either the Choral or Instrumental Emphasis; a minimum of 62 credit hours is required within the major.
