Show Marriott-Slaterville City History October 2017 Marriott-Slaterville Monthly History October 2017 October brought much cooler weather, but no rain. The Annual Fail Clean-up occurred on October 21^^ and 22"^*, with dumpsters located at both the Marriott and Slaterville Parks. The annual Trunk-or-Treat was held at the Slaterville Park on Tuesday, October 31®'. Our annual community Pre-Black Friday Boutique will be held November 1?'^ and Is" at the Marriott-Slaterville City offices from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Crafts, gifts and handmade items will be available. Admission is free and vendor space is available for a $20 fee, inside and out. Ballots can be returned by mail to Weber County or dropped off at the City Hall Drop Box or one of the other Ballot Drop Boxes located across the county before November 7"^. All City parks are now closed for the season. The George E. Wahlen Veteran Tribute Run, sponsored by the First United Methodist Church, was held on Saturday, October m"' The run was followed by a Chili Cook-Off. Planning Commission Meeting for October 17. 2017 and CItv Council Meeting for October 19. 2017 were both cancelled. Bits and Pieces Sharon Jean Scott Holley, 82, passed away on October 8, 2017. Ernest "Ernie" Young Quayle, 81, passed away on October 30, 2017. Marshall Decimus Dyer, son of Brett and Nici Dyer was born on October 13, 2017. Liam Tyler Brown, son of Kalie and Tyler Brown was born on October 22, 2017.
