If you have crafts, gifts, and handmade talent here is your chance to show it off and sell your wares. If you like to browse boutiques for local gifts come enjoy. The boutique is at the Marriott- Slaterville City Building, 1570 West 400 North from 11 AM until 6 PM each day. Admission is free. Vendor space is $20 and available inside and outside. Please bring your own tables, canopies, and heater if you display outside. Inside space is 4'x8', and all materials must be freestanding. Set-up is at 10 AM. Space is limited, make a reservation with Cecile Morris at 801-628- 2921, or email: cecilcmorris2(2i,aol.com. Community Awards Each year residents have an opportunity to nominate a person or business in the community for our annual awards. Now is the time to recognize someone for going above and beyond as a neighbor, business, leader, youth, or volunteer. Nominations are now being accepted by the Mayor for the following; ► The Good Neighbor Award - nominate an exemplary neighbor, leader, or business. >■ Elna Lucas Community Culture/History Award - nominate a person who has contributed to our local community history or culture. »■ H. Orvil Holley Youth Leadership Award - nominate an outstanding youth. ► Darrell Mecham Community Service Award - nominate an extraordinary volunteer. The deadline for nominations is December 7, 2017. Please send your nomination with a short statement to: Marriott-Slaterville City, 1570 West 400 North, MSC, UT 84404. Breakfast with Santa Santa Clause will be visiting Marriott-Slaterville City on Saturday, December 9, 2017, from 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the Senior Center, 1570 West 400 North. Come enjoy breakfast with Santa. Bring a camera! The cost is S3.00 for adults, and $2.00 for children 12 and under. Please RSVP by calling the City Office at 801-627-1919. Winter Weather and Snowplowing It's snow season! Remember there is no parking along any roads during and after snowstorms so the snow plows can operate. Weber County plows the most traveled roads first. Subdivisions and lesser traveled roads will be plowed last. Residents and businesses with sidewalks are responsible to remove the snow from the sidewalk within 24-hours after a snowstorm. Local Updates • 2017 Municipal Election. The Canvass of the 2017 Municipal Election will be November 22, 2017, so the City Council meeting has moved to that date. Property Taxes. The City does not levy a property tax. If you have a property tax question, contact Weber County at 801-399-8400. Irrigation. Secondary water is turned off. Please winterize your irrigation systems. Parks Closing. City parks have been winterized and are closed for reservations until April 15, 2018. Recycling Program. Marriott-Slaterville residents recycle. Recycling is every other week, which will be November 6"' and 20"'. Central Weber Sewer. Central Weber Sewer District has increased fees 6% starting January 1,2018. Trunk-or-Treat. Thank you to all the volunteers and participants who helped make another wonderful Trunk-or-Treat. Everyone had a great time and enjoyed the Halloween costumes and decorated trunks.
