Mosquito Abatement The Weber Mosquito Abatement District (Weber MAD) notes that September is one of the worse months for mosquitoes. Please drain spots in your yard where water collects. Be cautious of birdbaths, fountains, rain gutters and downspouts, plant saucers, old tires, buckets, over-watered lawns and gardens, pet dishes and horse troughs. Mosquitos are more prevalent outside in the evening or early morning. Take measures to protect yourself from mosquito bites. Wear long pants and long sleeve shirts and apply a mosquito repellent approved by the Environmental Protection Agency. Use repellents containing the active ingredients like DEET, Picaridin, or holistic oils like lemon eucalyptus. Read and follow label directions carefully for application and reapply as needed. If you experience mosquito problems call Weber MAD at 801-392-1630 or visit their website w\\ w. wcbci'mosq u ilo. com.
