Favors Given Daughter And Sons At Rotary Party Ogden High School Notes May 7, 1931 This year the students of O. H. S. have witnessed with profound in¬terest the wonderful series of ora-tions which have been conducted in our school. Great talent has been shown to us in our youthful orators. Praise has been given the orators and their orations. As far as forenics are concerned our school has witnessed a most successful year; yet through all of these orations, therd has lingered always in the background a teacher. This teach¬er has conducted these orations in a splendid manner. She has been of invaluable aid to these young ora¬tors, spending many hours after school in order that the orations might be a success. Yet with all of this fine work she has always been in the background, and we, the stu¬dents of O. H. S., wish to express our appreciation to Mrs. Blanche Kendall McKey for her splendid work in the furtherance and success of forensics in O. H. S. BLOCK O AWARDS The annual award day will be a long remembered one in of ten fortunate seniors. As has been the custom in preceding years 'ten block O's are presented to those graduating seniors who have partaiten most actively in school af¬fairs. Under the careful supervision of Council and the faculty the choice of these lucky seniors is made. It is difficult to decide which of all the loyal and active students will be the honored ones, yet every year the choice has been extremely satisfactory. We wish to congratulate in advance those for¬tunate seniors. V. H. WASTED ENDEAVOR? "Where did you get that hat?" was a query many and various times repeated last Friday. The girls made them. They spent much time and worked hard and then we didn't wear them. They were very nice looking hats and we appreciate sin¬cerely the efforts the young ladies put forth. Any kind of a hat is almost too much for anyone to ask us to wear so it certainly was no reflection on the hats but just the general class of headgear that we object to. |
