Saturday, September 8 This afternoon attended a Tea at home of Dorothy Patterson given her daughter Clara May who will be married the eleventh of Sept. Very nice. Lucile called for me as Cleone was closing Mutual Camp & Myrene was in S.L.C. Wrote letters to Junior, Mary, Aunt Mary Jones Sunday, September 9 Dr gave his lessen in S.S. did not go but prepared a nice dinner for Dr Baker & son t. Will Baker. We took them out to view Mrs Baker in casket at Lindquists also over to Cemetery. Spent evening reading. Monday, September 10 The funeral service of Mattie Baker was held today. 5th Ward Bishop Adrian Bernett presiding. Bishop Alma Peterson gave opening prayer. Dr Edw. I Rich was the main speaker Bp. Barnet made remarks Bp. W.H. Petty gave closing prayer Carl Lindquist dedicated grave. Mr Frost sang two songs & Mr Andersen was at the organ. Lovly flowers & a large audance. Dr & I drove over to cemetary to see the final only ones except Mrs Thomas & Dau. & Carol Lindquist who had charge. Tuesday, September 11 Recd a letter from Junior who is still in China & very anxious to get home now V.J. day is over. I attended work meeting of Relief Society. Paid my dues or donation to Church Wellfare & renews R.S. Magazine & mad donation to Bazar 8.00 in all. Dr & I attended Wedding reception of Clara May Patteron & Felt at Country Club. Large crowd no liquor served. Very nice.
