Talk on Future of Asia Dr. Henry H. Hart, who will speak at the dinner of the Ogden Knife and Fork club Wednesday evening, Oct. 17 at seven thirty oclock has long been considered an outstanding authority on Chinese art and culture. In his brilliant lecture, China and the Future of Asia, he shows clearly how futile it is to expect to be able to understand current happenings in China until one has first obtained a knowledge of her intellectual and artistic history as well as her political activities, a statement said. The lecture is entirely non technical and answers the questions which the average well informed person wants to know about the country, its people and its civilization. Dr. Hart who is on the faculty of University of California extension division, has recently been employed on confidential missions for the United States army and during the execution of the missions has been in South America, Central Africa, Arabia, India and South Africa. In summing up the background the abilities of the author, traveler and lecturer, the China Digest declared: There is no argument regarding Dr. Harts knowledge of Chinese art, history and culture. He has made a real achievement as a student of things Chinese.
