Description	This collection contains 74 diaries of Dr. Edward Rich and his wife Almira. They begin in 1892 and run through 1965. The bulk of this collection centers on Almira's diaries that run from 1897-1947. During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins.

World Conference held in San Francisco April 26 China is Juniors destination he has spent the last seven mo in India, Burma & China has had wonderful experience. Dr Junior E. Rich advanced form Maj. to Lt. Col. in Sept while serving in the Medical Corps in Shanghai, China Oct 5 George Albert Smith sustained as 8th President of L.D.S. Church. Aug or Sept Richard has his leg & foot operated cords or tendons cut. Special Data Junior E. Rich Lt. Col. arrived in San Francisco from Calcutta India Oct 12via plane time six days. He arrived home via plane Sunday 14th at Salt Lake Air Port. Nov 26 My Aunt Mary E Jones died. Nov 10 Thair C. Rich Col. was asigned by Gen Mark Clark to the Austrian Theater of occupation by U.S.A. as Surgeon and supervisor of War & Civilian setup. Quarters in Vienna. Nov 4 my nephew Mose C. Cozzens was released from U.S. navy. Served in Honollu & Guam for two years as an ensign. Nov 1945 Dr Junior E. Rich assured his work in office after three years & three months as Surgeon in U.S. Army nine months over seas in India, Burma & China. Nov. Thair C Rich Col. transferred from St. Vienna to take charge of Med. Sec. of Austria. Called by Gen Mark Clark Thair C. Rich Col was given Legion of Merit also this year while in France.
