Show It is necessary to rewrite my diary as the one I have has fallen apart I am on the Los Ang Limited this 20 of September bound N.Y. and France. This has been made possible by my loved ones. I could not feel prouder of them, as I kiss them good bye on my way to what? Train leaves 340 p.m. Is this the last time I am to kiss or see my wife, boy, and all I love? Do I regret my act of going? I do! Then again, if they are not worth fighting for either I lack guts or I am a coward. The leaving is hard (that is my selfishness) No I do not regret the leaving, as it is for them I go. September 21 The train is now running about three hours late and I didn t sleep much. Met three young fellows on their way to school at breakfast. Two lads Walker and Scofield.
