Show June 23. Put on emergency shoes. Took Medcan Dwisionaire to Tahn and went to Wagram for duty. Wagram (front post) located 23 up mountain at about 30 degree grade. (For four days). June 24. Went to top of mountain and down to Hoche. German trenches in valley. Rhine Valley and Alsaceian Plateau. 35 Division A trip to Moock. Took pictures. June 25. Nothing to do. 1 trip to Moock. June 26. Shelled today. 1 trip to Moock. June 27. Relieved. Trip to Moock. June 28. Received letters and 1 package. Package from OHS (Ogden High School) blanket. June 29. Work on car. Letters. June 30. Work on car. Letters. July 1. Work on car. Play cards. Bathe, shave and do washing. July 2. K.P. July 3. Work finish car. Write letters and study French. July 15. Appointed Sergeant and give up my car. July 18. Brady leaves. Beebe and I alone. July 28. Beebe leave on permission and I am left to do work. Lieut returns. August 1. Pay rolls, etc out. Four men leave section. Kiernan, Duskin, Shipman, McFarland. August 2. New men arrive. Round, Purdy, Jenkins, Sullivan, Anderson. August 3. Go to Remermont with Lieut to buy supplies and lunch with Lieut. August 4. Teach new men to drive. Jenkins from Oak Park. August 5. Go with Lieut for inspection trip at posts. Lunch with Lieut. August 6. Trip to Remermont with Lieut. August 7. Car inspection. August 8. Kemble to act as clerk so teach him office work. August 9. Take in races and outdoor sports at Wessleruig. August 10. Rain. Play cribbage. Write letters, receive package from home with pictures of Wattis. |
