Show April 24 Continued. Receive word from Mrs. Street that Wattis uniform had been sent. Take gassed road to Oulche by mistake. (safe) Just ruins at Oulche. April 25. Return to O Euilly. Play cards. April 26. Wash and clean car. Work practically all day. New Lieut. (Brady) arrives. Looks like man. April 27. Inspection by new and old Lieut. Shave and clean clothes. Go on duty at Oulche tonight. April 28. Duty at Oulche. No work. April 29. Duty at Oulche. No work. Return to O Euilly. April 30. Washed car at river. Shaved and bathed. Repaired bunk. Sent letters home. May 1. Put drain in yard. Worked all day. May 2. Finished drains. Planted garden. Worked on car. Cut boys hair (Love and Crawford.) May 3. Worked on car all day. Rode to Glen with Crawford. May 4. Wrote letters home. Shaved. Played 500. Pal, Murph, Kemble. Duffle bags returned. Bed 930 pm. May 5. On duty at Longuavale. 1 trip to Glen. May 6. Duty Longuavale. Get phone message to go on permission tomorrow. May 7. Relieved at 1030 am. Leave O Euilly at 110 pm for Soissons. 300 pm train arrived Paris 900 pm. Continental Hotel. May 8. Fine sleep. 900 am breakfast. Report and get transportation. Lunch Marguerite (Sole) Walk the boulevards. Train for Aux 700 pm. May 9. Arrived Aux 730 am. (sit up all night) Geo 1st Hotel, small but looks good. Just above famous beach. Meet Mr. Weil. Hotel food fine. Take bath. Trip on bicycles around lake. Take trip up Mt. Revard in afternoon. |
