Sunday, January 7 Dr and I attended Fast meeting also Sunday School. We have a new teacher Bro Adams a young returned missionary Dinner at home Have written letters to Cloteel Rich Avon Smart and our youngest dau. Mary Peery. All live in Calif. Also wrote out granddau. Ruth. We called to see Blanch also Myrene last was not home . Dr recd a telegram telling of his brother Joel Rich death this A.M. he was 80 yr old lived in Calif at time of death. Monday, January 8 A beautiful day. Dr up and off to his office at 9 A.M. his usual office hr. He is very considerate of me & for the past year he has prepared his breakfast so I can rest or sleep, for so often I do not rest well. I hope by taking things easier to keep my blood pressure down. I feel fine today best for several weeks. Cold gone. Mrs D.R. Wheelwright called Lettie Rich, Myrene Rich Brewer and Bell Wilson. Dr and I went to hear William Primrose Violist at Ogden High (community service) Good Tuesday, January 9 This afternoon I attended the funeral service of Samuel Hinckley. Very good. He was a devout Latter Day Saint. Apostle Joseph Merrill was one of the speakers. A crowded house at 12 Ward. I called to see Mattie Baker who has her 79 birthday. Took her a basket of eats & a small gift apron & perfume. She has not been out of her home for over a year. She is quite feeble but complains little considering. Have known her 50 years. Have written two letters. Wednesday, January 10 Weather nice. Very little snow on Mts This afternoon gave account of the first 500 Books Beneath Ben Lomans Peak Mrs Wilson (Bell) and I did the checking up.
