Show Wednesday, April 25 46 Victorians Nations Meet. One of the greatest days in history takes place in the meeting of all representatives of all countrys of the World at San Francisco. For (World Peace) War is rageing all over the world. Berlin is being destroyed and hundred of beautiful Cities. The Nazis are taking some of their own Medacine. Major Will Baker had dinner with us. He is a dentist & is transfered from Livermore to Detroit Michigan. Thursday, April 26 Have had a day of cleaning & have listened over radio. Never so much history made all over the world as now. Rationing of food will be less especially meat sugar & fats. But we can take it & glad to to get this War over. We have been blessed more than other countries, in this regard but too many deaths recorded every night of our fine men & boys. Friday, April 27 The greatest Security Conference that has ever conveined met in San Francisco. 46 Nations represented with Secretary of U.S. States Stettinius in the chair. President Truman of U.S. gave addressed them for ten over radio from Washington D.C. We regret no prayer was given at the opening but 2 min silence observed by all. Pres. Trumans talk was very humble and very fine. Foreign Minster Anthony Eden Eng. Russia Foreign Commissar V.M. Milotov and deligates from 46 Nations present Saturday, April 28 Allies hail U.S. and Russian link up jay marks their meet. Russians clear most of Berlin. Pattan rolls into Austria to join Russians, V.E. day (Victory in Europe) is seen a month earlier than expected. Securety Conference in San Francisco well under way. I pray as all should that it may be successful & that no nation can ever again |
