Monday, October 22 Tuesday, October 23 Cloteel & Myrene went to Salt Lake June Smart came back from Jackson brought Les Covey. He brought us some wonderful beef stakes also Swiss Cheese from Afton. They had a couple of stakes & retired early Wednesday, October 24 June Smart & Mr Les Covey left for Calif this A.M. They prepared their own breakfast & started early. I slept late & had a good rest. Coast Visitors Feted in Week Sojourning in Ogden at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Edward I. Rich, have been Mrs. Thair C. Rich and her parents, Dr. and Mrs. E. S. Budge of Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. Joseph W. Brewer were host and hostess at dinner at the Valley House in Huntsville, complimenting the visitors. Mrs. Rich and Mrs. Budge were special guests at the home of Mrs. Rich Johnston, on Thursday afternoon, when she entertained members of Camp G of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers; also of the Acacia club on Friday afternoon which met at the home of Mrs. H. Aldous Dixon. Mrs. Richs husband, Colonel Rich, who is a son of Dr. and Mrs. Edward I. Rich, is serving with the U. S. army medical corps in France. He recently served in clinic and hospital duty in Sweden. The visitors left for their home Saturday. Oct 25 1945 Mrs. Aldous Dixon Hostess to Acacia Mrs. H. Aldous Dixon was hostess to the Acacia club at a luncheon at her home on Friday afternoon. At the meeting which followed the luncheon, Mrs. Edward I. Rich talked on poetry and poets. Her discussion covered rhythm, style, imagery and contents. She quoted various poems to illustrate her points. Eighteen members attended.
