Show 46 and signed by the student, the professor of the course, and the Honors Director and will outline the expected component work. Contracts are due in the Honors Center by the 3rd week of the semester. Option II: Complete 2 Honors Colloquium courses (Honors 3900) totaling 6 credit hours and complete 3 credit hours of required course work in EACH of the three areas of emphasis for a total of 9 credit hours on an Honors basis. Courses completed with an Honors component must be 3000 level or above. Courses completed on an Honors basis require that the Honors Component contract be completed and signed by the student, the professor of the course, and the Honors Director and will oudine the expected component work. Contracts are due in the Honors Center by the 3rd week of the semester. All students completing the B.I.S. degree are required to complete a B.I.S. Capstone Project. Upon its completion and acceptance, a copy of the Capstone Project must be given to the Honors Center for inclusion in the student project file. PROGRAM Bachelor of Applied Technology This degree is currently limited to the following technical emphases: College of Applied Science and Technology - Computer Drafting & Design and Information Technology Dumke College of Health Professions - Health Administrative Services Contact Information: See Advisement below. Program Requirements BAT students must: • have completed an AAT degree from UCAT (Utah College of Applied Technology) in a sponsoring college or school; • complete a minimum of 120 credit hours, 40 of which must be upper division and 30 of which must be resident hours; • complete 16-22 upper division credits in one of the technical emphases listed above; • complete 18-24 upper division credits from the BAT core and BAT support courses and electives; • complete bachelor degree general education requirements; • earn at least a 2.0 cumulative GPA; • meet with a college advisor and develop an academic contract specifying technical emphasis courses, BAT core, BAT support courses, and BAT electives (see Advisement on the next page); • complete all courses on the academic contract with a minimum grade of "C" (no C/NC grades will be accepted for the courses specified on the BAT academic contract); and • meet with an academic advisor in their technical discipline at least annually. Advisement Students must plan their program of study with an advisor. Students interested in a BAT in Computer Drafting & Design or Information Technology should contact the College of Applied Science & Technology Advisor, Nisha Parry at 801-626-7522. Students interested in a BAT in Health Administrative Services should contact the Dumke College of Health Professions Admissions Advisement office at 801-626-6128.
