Any 3000 or 4000 level English class may be used as a language arts course. No double dipping. Portfolio and Public Reading Before or during the final semester English Creative Writing Majors are required 1. to submit a PORTFOLIO of finished work which includes all required elements described in Portfolio guidelines, 2. to participate in a PUBLIC READING arranged by the department, and 3. be signed off by Creative Writing Program Director, an advisor and department chair. English (BA) • Program Prerequisite: Not required. • Minor: Required. • Grade Requirements: A 2.0 or better in all courses required for this major in addition to an overall GPA of 2.00 (C) or higher. • Credit Hour Requirements: A total of 120 credit hours is required for graduation; a minimum of 39 of these must be valid English courses. A total of 40 upper division credit hours is required (courses numbered 3000 and above); a minimum of 36 of these must be English courses. Advisement English majors are required to meet with a faculty advisor at least twice annually for course and program advisement.
