Consultation & Outreach • Conduct orientation for new international students and scholars • Provide information on international issues to the WSU community • Present workshops of F-l visas, J-1 visas and other immigration related issues to international students and exchange visitors Nontraditional Student Programs Telephone: 801-626-7794 Location: Shepherd Union, Room 154 Web Site: Nontraditional Student Programs provides educational and social programs and resources to help students balance college, work and family. Programs are directed toward students who are 25 and older, who have children, or who are married. • Hourly Child Care 2 - 9 year olds • Activities and workshops for families and children • Nontrad Senator and student area council • Peer mentor assistance program • Study, lounge, and meeting room • Math tutor on a walk-in, free basis • Pinnacle Honor Society membership and leadership opportunities • Free hot drinks daily • Refrigerator, microwave, and toaster available Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD) Telephone: 801-626-6413 Location: Student Services, Suite 181 Web Site: A student who requests an accommodation because of a disability should be referred to SSD. Based upon documentation of the disability, SSD will authorize appropriate accommodations. SSD works closely with faculty and staff to insure that any given accommodation is appropriate and necessary for the situation. SSD advises students on issues related to disabilities and higher education and provides priority registration for qualified students.
