Each committee is an integral part of the organization of an occupational course or curriculum. The Alumni Association keeps the College informed of the activities of its graduates. Members of the Weber College Alumni Association have cooperated in the promotion of various campus projects. President*s Message The school year 1962-63 mark's another important milestone in the history of Weber College. At the beginning of this school year, upper division courses will be offered for the first time to a junior class. The first senior class will be enrolled in the 1963- 64 school year. The authorization for this expansion was pro-vided by the 1959 Legislature. The upper division courses of study contained in this catalogue were developed by the faculty over a period of approximately three years. It is our hope that they will prove to be effective and that they will meet fully the needs of the students who pursue them. During the year 1962-63, the new gymnasium will be used for the first time. This new building, costing $1,250,000, will be completed during the summer of 1962. For the past eight years, since the college moved to the new campus in the summer of 1954, it has been necessary for all students who use a gymnasium to travel to the old gymnasium on the old campus. This new facility should make possible a more successful physical education program and also provide for an expanded athletic program. WILLIAM P. MILLER President |
