Show UTAH CONSTRUCTION & MINING CO. 550 California Street, San Francisco 4 TONIGHT I am grateful to you on two scores first, the compliment of your being here, and second, the opportunity given me to speak about Utah Construction & Mining Co. It seems altogether appropriate that I do so, for there is much in common between our company and the people of this state. This is the birthplace of the company which was launched 61 years ago in Ogden. Nine of our 10 directors were born here and the majority of our stock is still registered in Utah names. Utah remains an important point of company operations. So tonight I feel like the son who has been asked to return home and give an accounting of the stewardship of the assets entrusted to company care. What has happened to the little company that started out in Ogden three score years ago with more courage than capital? What has been accomplished that might make the story of our company worthy of your attention? What plans have we for the future that might make our company merit your interest as an investor or retain your confidence if you are already a shareholder? 3 |
