Show "Negro" like the word "bastard" was just a generic term to describe a special group of people. The NAACP spokesman's answer was, "Just remember the Negroes are organized and the bastards ain't!" So it is in the iron ore industry - the independents ain't organized. If the buyers are smarter than the sellers, maybe they deserve the best of the bargain! When all the blood-letting is over, my company and those with whom we are associated do not expect to fare so badly. While our margin per ton may be less, we are consoled by the fact that we can anticipate a sharp increase in the tonnage sold and a greater total profit. April 4, 1964 |
