For our purposes today let this capsule description of the company suffice. Utah Construction & Mining Co. is a 65 year old company engaged directly or through affiliates in the mining of iron ore, uranium, coal and copper; in the ocean transportation of iron ore, petroleum, and other bulk commodities; in land development; and in general construction domestically and overseas. Its assets are invested approximately as follows: 52% in mining and ocean shipping; 20% in land and real estate; and 20% in construction and dredging.
