Show CARD #8 - Page 1 Our picture for construction is the question mark. 1963 and 1964 were bad years, and the cloud of the tunnel in New Zealand overhangs the outlook for 1965! The heavy construction industry generally is not what it used to be, and it is small comfort to us that our competitors are also experiencing the profit squeeze. Frankly, I cannot assure you that construction has a bright outlook ahead of it. But this I can say - - the directors and the top management of Utah Construction & Mining Co. represent over half of the shares outstanding and this heavy ownership gives them a high degree of sensitivity to losses from any source. We don't intend to continue to lose money in construction and, if we convince ourselves that we can't make a go of it, we will get out of it and put the money to work where it will do some good.
