COMMENCEMENT EXERCISES SET Largest Graduating Class In History To Get Diplomas Ogden High school commencement program will be held Wednesday morning, May 29, in the Orpheum theatre, Superintendent W. Karl Hopkins announces. About 450 students, the largest graduating class in the history of the school, will receive their di¬plomas. The commencement pro¬gram will conclude school. Alva L. Scoville, of Ogden, whose son is a member of the graduating class, has been invited to deliver the baccalaureate sermon at services to be held Sunday morning, May 26, in the Orpheum theatre. SHOULD LIKE NRA. CADIZ, Ohio—(UP)—The latest lamentation against the New Deal heard here is that it may deprive children in Ohio orphanages of castor oil. Decrying a new Ohio law prohibiting payment of public money to any concern not comply¬ing with NRA, one critic of the law charged it might keep youngsters from getting the hated childhood medicine in case no druggists in the county had filed compliance cer-tificates. |
