Show Edward HELPING BOYS OF R. O. T. C. BAND Having arrived within sight of the goal of their ambition the high school band boys must not be al¬lowed to fail to attain their pur¬pose. The young musicians should be backed by the community in a manner to inspire and send them on their way to Gary, Ind., re¬joicing. Band men throughout the state who have heard them recognize that the boys are exceptionally capable as a band and have a prospect of winning the coveted honor of being the champion high school band of the United States. Even a number of Salt Lake men out of recognition of the merits of the boys as a musical organiza¬tion have asked to be inscribed on the roll of those sending the young musicians east to compete at Gary. The days are not many before the funds must be provided and those who are planning to assist should do so without further de¬lay. With an early assurance of success plans for the trip can be more carefully worked out than if left to the last day. |
