Letters. I received 80 personal letters during 1936 Wrote 70. At the beginning of 1937 these are from our children living away as follows Oertel has lived in Columbus Ohio the past 11 years. Avon in Coakville Wyo. past four yr. Mary in San Metao Cal past 5 years. Thair in Carlisle Pa. two and a half yr. Friday, January 1. Happy New Year Greetings by all. Dr has breakfast Nora the maid prepares some for Charles & Que also as they and Carlin are here while June & Avon are visiting in Cal. I had breakfast alone as I rested awhile in bed. This afternoon the children & maid went to a show. Our dinner was not unusual we enjoyed it and had only Que & Charles with us. I did up the dinner work. Dr has made some calls and read some. Justin has stayed here three nights with Charles but as it was his first overnight stay here wanted to go home so last night his mother (Cleone) came and he went home Charles & Que cleared walks. We Dr & I made calls on Mr & Mrs Alex Brewer. Joe & Myrene Cleon & Royal. Dr Roy Pugmire & Margret his wife and later attended a reception for Dr & Mrs W. C. Petty given by their son Russell at the 12 Ward. Junior called twice but none of the other children Blance & Myrene have no help so could not come. It has snowed most all day. Snow deep.
