Thursday, November 18. Rain. House work as usual. Had a letter from Janath. She is at Wellesley College Mass. This afternoon I attended Camp X of D.U.P. at the home of Mrs Geo. D. Shorten as a guest of Rose Nielsen who was assistant hostess. The programme was well carried and the paper on pioneer cooking and weaving, candel making etc was very good musical numbers splendid about thirty members were present. Dr and I had dinner at 12 Ward given by the Seventy. We later called to see Judge Agee who is 87 yr old today. Friday, November 19. Rain but little cold. At 9 A.M. I went down to the Federal Bld to see about tax exemption on proceedes of D.U.P. Ball. However the clerk was not in so must go again. At 11 A.M. went to the dress makers. Came home at 12 noon prepared Drs lunch and after he ate he too me up to Acaca Club held at Mrs W.H. Reeders. A delicious lunch was served and then Bro Piper who was manager for 30 yr of the old Salt Lake Theater showed pictures and talked on his experiences there. He is now 80 yr old. At 330 P.M. I again went to the Federal Bldg. & succeeded. Also called on two sick friends Martha Cooley & Lizzie Thomas. Had Mrs Engstrom dress my hair called for my party dress etc and at 7 P.M. went with Dr to a 5.00 per plate dinner at the 21 Ward. Came home and dressed for the D.U.P. Ball & Dr & I danced until eleven P.M. Have walked 8 blocks today also.
