Show Monday, April 12. U of U Orchestra at County High School tonight. Dr & I went it was very fine. I had charge of planting a pine tree today for D.U.P. honoring Dora P. Holther, a past president. Her two sons were present. Judge W.N. Reeder made a talk, the song Trees was sung by three Weber College girls & Ray M Jensen offered the dedicatory prayer. Tuesday, April 13. Have done some iorning & baking. Attended Relief Society meeting held in Weber College. Mrs Katherine Pardo gave a three act play Lady Moon Light. Very fine & good. D. OF U. P. PLAN TREE PROGRAM Monday Program to Honor Mrs. Dora Holther, Past President April 12 1937 The Daughters of Utah Pioneers will hold a tree planting program inhonor of Mrs. Dora Holther, past president, Monday afternoon at two oclock at Pioneer hall on Tabernacle park. A native tree of Utah, Colorado spruce, will be planted and named for Mrs. Holther. The following program will be given: vocal solo, Trees by Mrs. Melba Read Jones; short talk by Judge W.H. Reeder; short biography of Mrs. Holther by her son, L. Jesse Holther; dedicatory prayer, Mrs. Rachel Middleton Jensen. All Daughters of Pioneer are invited to attend the exercises. |
