Show Thursday, September 2. Dr & I went to Salt Lake to attend State Medical Convention. The Womens Auxiliary are holding their two sessions today at Hotel Utah. At the opening session I was called to offer the invocation. Mrs Augustus S. Kech the National President is in attendance. She is a wonderful women, has a charming personality. She paid a wonderful tribute to the Doctor and gave some splendid talks on our work and what to do to help the profession. At luncheon I met Dr C.E. Dixons wife. He gave us a fine talk on cancer. He is of the Mayo clinic. Dr & came home this evening. I called at R.S. Office also Geneology Room. Friday, September 3. Dr & I and Junior went to Salt Lake in Jrs car. Went down in 40 minutes. The Drs went to Medican Convention and I went to Auxiliary. The ladies held their sessions in the Hotel Utah. At 10 A.M. meeting President Mrs E B Isgreen presided Im Memoriam. Tribute given to Mrs John F. Sharp who passed away since our last Convention. Mrs John Z Brown paid tribute & Luellan Chorus which she (Mrs Sharp) organised sang two of her favorite pieces. I acted as a delegate in Mrs. Stranquists absence. Mrs W.M. was elected for next year. Mrs Shields is Pres. for this year. Two Ogden women Pres. Jenetta Morrell Parlianmentarian. |
