Show Tuesday, May 11. Have done iorning & some cleaning. Very buisy. Dr & I attended concert at the Tabernacle at which Maren played a piano solo. Wednesday, May 12. Have been buisy all day. At 130 A.M. attended a Tea at Mrs E Dobbs given by her and Mrs Allan. Cleone called for me. King George VI of Eng was crowned today. The entire Serimony was broadcast the first such to be heard over radio. I listened in to part of it. London was drenched in rain but thousands (many) waited in the rain to see & hear what they could. A great day for all England. The Duke of Windso was not present but in France with his sweetheart Wally W. Simpson whom he will marry soon & for whom he gave up his king ship. |
