During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Thursday, July 15. Dr Russell Means Mrs Means Russel J, evelyne, & Harriet Means their children & Dr & I left for a trip to Yellow Stone about 8 A.M. We had a picnic lunch at Craters of the Moon in Idaho. A very weired place but worth seeing. We spent one & a half hr here and then drove to Old Faithful Inn by seven P.M. found good accommidations in their cabins, had a nice dinner at the Cafeteria and spent the evening in Curico Stores. Mrs Means enjoyed them very much and made some purchases. We stared out to see the Park & all its wonders returned to glimpse at Old Faithful perform one more & went on our way to the canon. A wonderful Day. All are good travelers. Friday, July 16. YellowStone canon. We arrived here from Old Faithful about five P.M. Have had a wonderful day. at 7 P.M. we drove about two miles from it to see the Bears fed. The children were delighted. It was very interesting to see about 15 come out of the timbers and get their refreshments the garbage from Canon Hotel. Driving through the park today we have seen Moose Deer and Bear. It is delightful everywhere and thousands of peope coming & going from every state in the Union. The greatest crowds in the history of YellowStone. We havecabins for sleeping and have eaten at the Cafeterias. Dr & I see many changes in accomidations & buildings since we were here last about 17 yr ago. We will drive to Jackson in the morning. |
