Washington DC. Friday, May 2. Beautiful day. Spent morning at home. Jr Thairs In afternoon we drove down town visited mall Art Gallery to nation and other places of interest. Had lunch at Hot Schopper and returned home. Had brief up pleasant evening and had buffet dinner at Senator Arthur V Walkins home. Rich reunion of all relatives here in Washington. nice time. Mrs Walkins is my niece and a dear woman. Senator had not returned from Utah. Saturday, May 3. Nice day. We wnet out to Ralph & Marens after lunch. In the evening we all went out to Alvey Inn about 12 miles in Maryland and had nice crab dinner. Returned and listened to radio and television. I wrote some cards and letters home. Washington is beautiful in full bloom. Thair & Richard worked on patio this AM. Washington DC May 4 52 Sunday, May 4. Nice day but rained a little in evening. We attended Sunday School in Chevey Chase Ward. After dinner Richard Ruth & Myra & I drove around city and visited Ruby School & Catholic Hospital also Richmond School and Washington Medical School and other places. Came home and had nice dinner. Had afternoon and in the evening had buffay supper and spent most enjoyable evening at Mr & mrs Clair Stouts beautiful home. Mrs Stout my cousin a daughter of Mr & Mrs. Parley Parrish of Centerville Utah. Senator & mrs. Walkins. Mr Mrs Ralph W Hardy Sharlene Glassman Chair & Margaret & Richard and others. Monday, May 5. Mr & Mrs Wayne Parrish. Washington DC. Cloudy today and rained a little. We visited the capitol and called on Senator Walkins Audrie his wife met us there at his office. We attended communitee and visited Seenate and House of Rep and attended lunch in Senate Caf as guests of Senator & Mrs. Walkins Drove through city and parks and various places of interest. Wrote letters and cards home. Had nice dinner at Thairs and spent evening looking at television.
