During that time she documented her personal life and the medical practice of Edward, the community of Ogden and national events such as the outbreaks of WWI and WWII. The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show JOSEPH SMITH CLARK SR.Utahn, 98, Plans Fete When 100Joseph Smith Clark Sr., 2171 South Fifth East, who turned 98 on Friday, still recalls the experiences he had as a boy of 16 when he was called by Brigham Young to help survey and plan Georgetown, Idaho.Mr. Clark celebrated his birthday at a quiet family dinner at the home of his daughter. We aren't planning anything really big until my 100th birthday, remarked Mr. Clark,Mr. Clark was born in Farmington in 1854, a son of Ezra T. Clark and Mary Stevensen, He married Lucy Maria Robinson in January 1877 in Salt Lake City and the couple settled in Georgetown, Idaho. They moved back to Farmington in 1891 where Mr. Clark later became president of the Davis County Bank which his father founded in 1892.He was active as a member of the city council in Farmington and was in the presidency of the Davis Stake, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The couple were temple workers until the death of Mrs, Clark in 1941.Mr. Clark is the father of nine children, five of whom are living. They are Mrs. William O. Robinson, Salt Lake; Joseph Smith Clark Jr. and LeRoy Clark, Murray; Mrs. Parley Young, West Jordan and Irvin B. Clark, Long Beach, Calif. He has 19 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren. |
