The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Saturday, January 9. Drs Edward and Junior are operating. I attended the funeral service of Russell R. Rich at Lindquist Parlors. He died of pneumonia. Prepared lunch, made mince meat and cleaned kitchen & bath. This evening Glee Cozzens my nephew came from Coakville to stay the rest of the school year. Sunday, January 10. I attended Sunday School. Dr and I had dinner with Myrene. Quite a lot of cases of flue. Glee is my brother Wills boy his mother died 15 years ago when he was born. He seems a nice boy. Dr read aloud most every night past week. This evening we went up to 12 Ward to hear Judge McCoukid of SLC. Mrs Andrews called. Monday, January 11. Spent all day at home have some headache. Sew & read some. Junior came in this eve also Myrene. Still very cold. The body of Dr Mattsons boy ten yr old who was kid naped several weeks ago was discovered not far from their home stripped of clothing and his skull mashed. He was being held for 28,000 ransom. No trace of kidnappers. Civil War still raging in Madrid. Rupert & Gladys Knowles called. |
