Show Wednesday, April 21. Sam Mateo Cal. Mary and I slept late. David went to school at 7 A.M. & Taylor to work at 730 A.M. At 11 A.M. Mary and I drove to San Francisco and had lunch at a Russial Caf, after which we went thro shopping district of China Town. Very interesting. We made very few purchases. Had a nice dinner at home and spent the evening reading. Had a letter from Dr saying it had either rained or snowed every day since I left home. Thursday, April 22. San Mateo Cal. This A.M. I shampooed my hair & did some mending for Mary. Her maids day off. We had lunch with her friend Sally Holmes, stayed until four. Mary prepared dinner. Her friend Gertrude spent the evening here. Taylor attended a Democratic meeting. Avon called over the phone from Oakdale wanted us to drive down there Sunday. Wrote to Dr. Davis is very little trouble. |
