The diaries also include newspaper and magazine clippings, memorabilia and pins. |

Show Monday, June 14. Today I have spent at home. Am feeling much better. My blood pressure is down to 50 and my stomach better. I slept well last night. Mr Phillips has done odd jobs of painting all day also went over all the lanolium with Lin x and it looks very nice. He has worked here 11 days at 5.00 per day & had dinner with us each day. My home looks very nice all through and I am very glad to be so near thro. Just the hall upstairs to paper and the fruit cellar to do. This evening Maren gave her recital on piano at Ben Loman about 200 people were present. We were very proud of her & Prof. T. Giles her teacher was well pleased. We afterward went up to Cleones for refreshments. Tuesday, June 15. Beautiful day still cool. I slept until noon took my bath prepared dinner for Dr & I the first tim we have been alone for some time. I attended Relief Society in the 18 Ward. Mrs Daniels gave the lesson on Juila Ward Howe. Very interesting. After meeting Mrs Ethal Andrew & I called on Mrs John Ellis. I called on Mrs Isabel Boyle who is very sick with heart trouble. Came home at five P.M. did up the dinner work & put up a case of Strawberries. After supper Dr & I went for a ride & called at Jrs new home. they are doing over some parts of it. Have spent the evening writing. |
