Show Thursday, September 9. I have bottled 2 bus of tomatoes in juice. Spent all forenoon down to the Pioneer Hall seeing that a very large safe was placed right. I solicited it from W.H. Wright & sons also ovtained the moving of it from the Count Commissioners Chas Calverson. I am rather tired tonight. My health is good now & I have too much ambition for my own good. Recd a card from Oertel & a letter from Thair. Friday, September 10. Myrene came down today. She put up one bu of fine peaches. She had 25 qts bottled from it. We worked togather all day. We did her peaches in the pressure cooker. I made 15 pts of tomato catsup and 13 pts of chile sauce. Thair said in his letter that they are leaving Camp Peery Ohio for Kentucky on the 12 of Sept and would start for the West Sept 15 or 16th of Sept. |
