Show ADMINISTRATION AND ORGANIZATION Plan of Organization The governing body is the Board of Trustees of Weber College. This board meets monthly to act on matters of policy and on recommendations made by the President. The President is the chief executive of the College. He is assisted by the Dean of Faculty, who has special responsibilities for the academic program. The Administrative Council meets weekly to discuss and recommend administrative policies, methods, and procedures for conducting the business of the College. The Administrative Council consists of the following: The President, Dean of Faculty, Registrar, Treasurer, Librarian, Dean of Students, Dean of Men, Dean of Women, Chairmen of Divisions, Curriculum Adviser for Vocational Subjects, Superintendent of Buildings and Grounds, Director of Information Service, Director of Evening and Summer Schools, and President of the Weber College Association. The following committees appointed by the President have student and faculty representatives: Admission, Credits and Graduation, Assemblies, Athletics, Awards and Honors, Campus Traffic, Catalogue, Community Service, Curriculum, Eligibility, Lecture and Concert Series, Library, Publicity, Scholarships, Standards, Student Activities, Student Guidance, Student Loans (National Defense), and Traveling Assemblies. Student representatives are appointed by the Student Executive Council. The program of instruction is carried out by eight divisions: Business, Education, Humanities, Life Science, Mathematics and Physical Science, Physical Education, Social Science, and Technical Education. Student government is organized according to the constitution of the Associated Students of Weber College. It functions through a legislative branch, an executive branch, and a judicial branch. The student government formulates measures necessary to implement the provisions of the constitution, such as the management of the student budget provided from student body funds, the appointment of committees, the organization and direction of elections, the initiation of a program of out-of-class activities, and the coordination of union building policies. The Weber College Union Policy Board, consisting of members of the College administration, student government, and alumni, administers the provisions of the union constitution through the union director and his staff.
