136 Dance Major bachelor of arts (ba) The Dance major is planned to provide experiences in dance as an art form with emphasis on creative and performance activities. Course- work in modern dance, ballet technique, choreography, performance and related arts are central in the curriculum, providing a basis for graduate study and for careers related to dance. » Program Prerequisites: Not required. » Minor: Required » Grade Requirements: A grade of "C" or better in courses required for this major (a grade of "C-" is not acceptable) and an overall GPA of 2.00 or "C." In addition, a grade of "B" or higher is required in at least one 3000-level major course in both ballet and modem dance. » Credit Hour Requirements: A total of 120 credit hours is required for graduation - 44-46 of these must be Dance classes. A total of 40 upper division credit hours is required (courses numbered 3000 and above) - a minimum of 18 of these is required within the major.
